Of course, Francis = Frank. Where was my mind. Oddlly enough this man was
called Ike later on.

Now about ole Jacob Chism. Do any of you on the list have anything on this
name? He was living with Nancy Bookout Langston and her late husband's
Auntie/Cousin Patsy Hightower. I'm sure the 12 year old boy was doing the
"man" work around the household. The Langstons were very good about taking
in orphans and strays (as well as farming out their own, from time to time).
So I suspect he has some Langston connection. I haven't been able to find
him in the later census or in prior census.
