As an honorary Jeffery you probably already know this:

P. M. Jeffery's (son of Daniel and Mary "Polly" Bowcock Jeffery) first name
was Phillip. I'll bet (but don't know for sure so please don't quote me)
but as he was Jane Mason Jeffery's grandson - the M. most likely was for
Mason.

P. H. Jeffery was Patrick Henry Jeffery (brother of Civil War "letter
writer" Ambrose).

I, for one, sure DO appreciate Goodspeed's but am I the only one who has
trouble following the narratives?
