Jean,
I don't have anything on the Lowry family yet, other than being listed with
the Sams and Parks families in the Cherokee Genealogies, in the Ballenger
Collection.
I have emailed Lisa Baldassari, at the Newberry Library, to inquire about
the papers on these listings.
I will keep you posted on what I find out when I hear from her.
I don't find any Lowry's in the Ballenger Genealogy papers. Since the
Sams/Lowry are listed together, I am thinking that they may have a
connection to each other.
Then the Parks papers listed, are most probably a Genealogy of his wife,
Mildred Josephine Parks, family.
These are the only Cherokee Genealogy Papers that list these three,
surnames, so I am wondering what his interest was in the Sams/Lowry's, and
if there is a possible connection somewhere for all of them????
So I am inquiring , to see if they can provide copies of these genealogies.
Will let you know what I find out.
Sandra
