Services for James G. "Tony" MARTIN, 83, of Sallisaw were held at 1 p.m.
Monday at the V.F.W Post No. 8384 in
Muldrow, with Dr. Lee Woodard officiating. Cremation was under the
direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Mr. MARTIN was born June 23, 1915, in Murchison, Texas, to Jessie James
MARTIN and Gertie MARTIN. He died
Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, in Sallisaw. He married Ruth Evelyn FRIEND
Feb. 4, 1951, in Bacliff, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth MARTIN of the home; two daughters,
Sandra and Marilyn Amy; two sons, James Paul
and David; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three
brothers, Arthur , Richard and Jessie; one sister,
Thelma; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and
friends. Mr. MARTIN was preceded in death by
one step-son, Stephen Michael JONES.
