Jean,

The towns you have listed as being in Union Twp. I think you will find in
Union County, AR., in the SW area of AR. My husband was born in El Dorado,
AR and we lived in the very small town of Norphlet, AR. (pop. 351) just 7
miles from El Dorado. This area may be considered Union Twp. also, not sure.


I have found another Union Twp. listed on a number of Izard Co., AR Census
records.
I think someone told me one time, a township consist of so many square miles,
as to the way it was surveyed and recorded in the Plat books.
