Hi Bernie,
When you hit "reply", go down to the bottom of your message and highlight
anything that's not a part of the present conversation,(of course I know
you know how, but just for anyone else, click the left hand button on your
mouse & hold it down, while you drag it across what-ever you want to cut
out) go to "edit" and click on "cut".
Now, this is ONLY if you have more than one other person's message on
there. Or, what I do if I am replying to a really long message(which may
have stuff no longer needed) is I designate where I have "cut" it off by
<snip> and leave the portion that I am replying to.
I don't particularly like to get a message which has totally deleted what I
had sent to them, because I am burning too many candles, to always remember
what my original message said, and I get lost, if I don't remember the jist
of the message.
For instance, if you had sent someone a long message, with a family tree
outline chart on the bottom, then they replied back to you, go and cut of
the chart which is no longer needed, then just reply to what they have just
sent. Am I as "clear as mud" now? :-)
