The undersigned is interested in contacting anyone with knowledge about the following: In 1980, Miss Martha Amis and Mrs. Frances Bowe, sisters, living in Fordyce, Arkansas, had an extensive collection of letters, Bibles, pictures and flatware known as the John G. Smith spoons, most of which dealt the family of Samuel H. Smith (1795-1853) and Frances (Martin) Smith, his wife (1799-1862) of Wake Co., N. C. and Dallas Co., Ark. Theses sisters lived in Fordyce, Arkansas; both died soon after 1980. Anyone who knows what became of this collection, please let Jonathan Smith, P. O. Box 10356, Jackson, TN 38308 know.
