The Piggott Times, March 25, 1998
William B. LIGHTFOOT, 78, of Fayetteville, AR, died Saturday, March 21,
1998 at Northwest Medical Center.
He was born July 4, 1919, at Gibson, MO., the son of William BERRY and
Grace Grabiel LIGHTFOOT, Sr. (That's exactly how the paper has it typed.
Sounds strange to me.)
He was a retired electrician. He was a World War veteran, having been
awarded five bronze stars, and was a POW for 26 months. He was a member of
the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a Presbyterian.
He is survived by two sisters, Lorene RAMSEY of Everett, Wash., and
Junell DAVIS of Piggott; one brother, Jewell LIGHTFOOT of Belleville, IL.,
and one half-brother, Jack FISH of St. Louis, MO.
Visitation was from 10a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Moore's Chapel
in Fayetteville, AR. Graveside services were held at 2p.m. Monday, March 23,
1998, at Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Moore's chapel.
The family requests that anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial send
it to the charity of their choice.
