Hi Jeannie

Forty four years ago my husband and I were at work. We both worked at the
same place. The radio was on and all the workers were busy. All of a sudden the
announcer came on and said the President had been shot....The place got dead
quiet. No one could finish work. We were totally in shock. After about and
hour going by with us all huddled close to the radio, we were sent home. None
of us could have done our job. Bob and I went one the way home to the gas
station and people were crying there..then we stopped at the grocery store and
it was quiet except for the sobs that just went through you....

After we got home I could not take myself away from out black and white TV.
I watched everything that I could. Was even watching the moment that Lee
Harvey Oswald was shot....then came the wake and funeral procession....I'll never
forget the kiss that Jackie gave her husband's coffin. I couldn't understand
why she would kiss the coffin...and then when my beloved Bob died I kissed
his......
