Jennifer always hold those thoughts dear and close to the heart, I remember
those days to and my dad was a Baptist Church deacon, it seems like that
people always tried to find fault with the preachers kids and the deacons
kids, said that we were always out doing things that we shouldn't be doing.
maybe we were and maybe not.
I remember a big snow and we had walked to church that night the church was
on a hill and there was a cemetary on up the hill from the church some of us
girls had started making a big snow ball before church then the boys started
helping us it was already dark and was time for church to start the boys told
us to hurry inside so nobody would come looking for us, we went inside the
boys never come in we started whispering wondering what had happened to them
finally my dad and another man went looking for them when they opened the
church door there was the biggist snowball I had ever seen blocking the door
you should have heard the comunition going on in the church you would have
thought someone was on the alter.
they finally got it moved went on with church like nothing had happened but
when we got home that was the first time in my life my dad ever spanked me
are should I say switched me. I deserved it but it still is funny in a way
and I have heard some of the others say they got the beating of their life
and of course it was the preachers kids and the deacons children.
