Joan, the posts are "public" enough that they are included in a standard
Google Search. Googling for the topic that started this thread, "Confusion
with the Various Definitions of Original Source" turns up Mark's blog in the
No. 1 position and the APG-L thread as No. 2.) But, of course, you're right
about RootsWeb list-serve postings not being public DOMAIN material.
Out of curiosity, I Googled for various recent APG postings. The only ones
for the past week that popped up were ones that had been reproduced (or
mentioned) on blogs. However, every APG-L post I tested from last Thursday
backwards do show up in a regular Google search.
