Sandy,

Have you checked the state archives to see if they kept any records for men
who served in WWI. In the NJ state archives they have records of men who
served in the military from the Rev. War to at least WWI. They may have
them for more recent wars, I just can not remember. In some cases they had
information for my War of 1812 and Civil War ancestors that I did not find
in the records at the National Archives. It might be work checking to see
if they have any records in Massachusetts.
