Mary:

Could you please help me understand the following references you made in
your email.

1. "non-professional genealogists" Someone who does not take pay for genealogical services; not a member of APG, not credentialed.

2. "novice genealogists" Most of my class had less than 2 years experience. So they aren't beginners, having no knowledge, but novices, having some knowledge, but not yet proficient.

3. "other genealogists" This includes professionals of all kinds, experienced genealogists, credentialed and APG members who do not take clients for one reason or another.

Are these descriptors specific to APG? No The US? No Or the international
community? No Just my knowledge of the class I taught Saturday. Sorry for any confusion I caused you. Mary

Thanks,

Jim
