Look for the Methodist archives in that part of New York State. You can find
a list of United
Methodist Church archives on the United Methodist web site (
http://www.umc.org).

If you're lucky, there might be some original records from the churches
these people
left. In doing research on some ancestors who were Methodist clergy in the
South
Carolina Conference, I have found the denominational newspaper extremely
helpful
as it covered church news and contained items written by and about Methodist
clergymen in the Conference. I have no idea what the Methodist
denominational
newspaper(s) in New York State might have been.
