I like to see images of sources. Just found a boy registered at birth with
an older brother's first name. Older sister had the wrong birth date in the
family history -- she was a bit older than her husband. The family surname
is spelled with one middle L about as frequently as LL and the SON ending
for the surname was left off the marriage registration. The man's year of
immigration is different in each census.

"A picture is worth a thousand words" especially when the birth reg, death
reg and two years of census images are readily available. Marriage index on
the Internet is more limited than details available from microfilms that
usually need to be borrowed from a distant location. Some family members
were born or died in different locations than the family residence, making
the birth and death registrations a challenge to find.

I don't have a copy of the university professor's earlier book on this
family. There are lots of variations since he created the first word
processor file before using a DOS genealogy program that stopped development
years ago.

Details about descendants of two daughters with limited notes in the
original Canadian family history have become available in the online USA
census images 1900-1930 available with a public library card.
