The Library of Congress Subject heading for City Directories for Los
Angeles should be:
Los Angeles (Calif.) Directories.
In general, it should be the name of the city, abbreviation for state in
parentheses, followed by the word "Directories."
I'm a librarian, but not a cataloger. If someone else knows better the
inticacies of the subdivisions, I would defer to them.
