Anyone and everyone who does research would benefit from attending the
National Institute on Genealogical Research. Institue a tremendous learning
experience.

The records at Laguna Niguel are primarily regional. They do not have any
where near the microfilmed records that are in DC.

Knowing how to access the records is every bit as important as knowing what
is available. Being on site to look at original records, pension, land,
applications, Navy ship logs, etc. that are not on microfilm and are only
available here is priceless.

Having researched at NARA for over 30 years I can say I'm still learning
about new records in Record Groups that I haven't had a chance to do in depth
work.
