Subject: document restoration/preservation

I have my husband's grandfather's high school diploma from 1913. It is
about 14X17 inches. It is very brittle, and has a crack going almost
through it, which is about to separate the document into two pieces. Is
there somplace in Southern California that can help me with its
preservation? What should I do in the meantime?
