Many thanks to all who gave information about their own experience
with a "traditional" naming pattern. I do agree with those who
expressed concerns about reliance on a naming pattern as proof of
ancestry. My question remains, however: does anyone remember Helen
Leary making a reference to such a naming pattern in one of her
lectures or tapes?
