Hi Linda
Our local genealogy society has been transcribing our county cemetery
tombstones and unmarked graves (if known) and we are now in volume number
four. There will probably be 7 or 8 volumes.
The chair of the committee has been going out early and mapping off the
cemetery in a fixed manner and hand drawing the maps so later these will act
as a locator for future searching or a revisit.
We are only transcribing the vital information and other items such as
military, fraternal, or pertinent data into the books.
Sometimes the committee has to revisit the cemetery before a final draft is
done and these plat maps are great.
