Subject: Database subscription for Genealogy Society?

Please excuse cross-posting.

I would like to get some suggestions for genealogy databases.

I'm the library chair of our local genealogy society
(Citrus County Genealogy Society at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~flccgs2/index.htm) as well as the Reference
Librarian in one of our County branches.
The Society Board is considering subscribing to one of the many genealogical
databases available.
The database would be made available to our members on a (non-dedicated)
terminal at our local FHC.
Our local library system has AncestryPlus and Heritagequest Online
subscriptions (see http://www.cclib.org/resources.htm), so the new
subscription would be something other than one of those two. We would like
to avoid duplication as much as possible. Genealogy.com was one suggestion,
as were NEHGS and Godfrey. I would like to evaluate these and some others.
User friendliness, breadth of content and (of course) price and licensing
agreements will be determining factors in our decision. Can any of you
suggest other databases we should consider? Maybe Ancestry's or ProQuest's
Historical Newspaper subscriptions?

Thank you,
