Now you went & put your grandpa's, "Oops! Bad Moment in Genealogy!"out in
front of everyone, but I wont tell!

Your survey of such genealogical notoriety sounds interesting. The
idea that we prefer bad guy/girl ancestors, over "poor farmer" types
seems to fit w/ what we want/get from the media today.

Examples:
How many miraculous healings do we hear about from ABC, etc.? How many
NASCAR fans actualy go to, or watch the Daytona 500, etc. to cheer for
the winner after 4 hours of going around in a circle (oval, that is)!
We're tuned in for the "Big One", the crassh that wipes out a dozen or
more cars.
