Subject: [APG] Certification Preparation Question

Hi Everybody!

I hope some of you can give me an opinion on the
following:

I am just beginning the process of preparing to apply for
CG certification. My question is about picking the ancestral line
to use for my compiled genealogy. The
best prospect I have is on my dad's side--my 3gr grandfather (James
Bestick) who died in Ireland in abt 1827. The problem is that of
his 7 children, I only have information on my direct line of descent. I
have alot of information on them, plus a few holes to fill in. I have some
hints and possibilities on some of the other lines of descent from him, but I
haven't started to prove any of them yet. Do you think I can be successful
with my certification application, knowing there may be some individuals in the
first generation who may remain a mystery? My alternative is to look at
some lines on my husband's side, which seem to have mysteries into even later
generations.

I appreciate any opinions and suggestions.

Thanks,

Kathy
