I think it is important not to foster more years
of secrets or at least little white lies about
our families.
Misrepresentation is as bad as lying. I come
from a long line of "secrets" it seems and it is
very hard to find out 150 years later what
happened.
Yes there will always be those that don't like it
or get upset, but there is also those that find
the truth to be refreshing and liberating.
Usually the ones objecting are the ones hiding
their own "secrets" that they fear will be
revealed.
*smiles* They probably will be too if people
watch dates ..it doesn't have to be spelled out
but it also shouldn't be hidden. These "secrets"
also tend to follow the family down until they
are faced and dealt with.
MHO of course, but I am facing a hard search now
because the truth wasn't told. It is interesting
though, that in the next generation of the same
family , another "culprit" was named and at
least they have a clear lineage to follow.
Have plenty of secrets of my own and have bared
most of them for posterity LOL
