My family name derives from the John Ames and Sarah Willis line. I would be interested in talking with anyone from this line.

I too am a descendent of the Mayflower but from a different Ames. My Mother
madian name was Ames and the Ames married into the flamily of Francis Cooke.
I have 2 Thomas Ames but not the dates you list. The first was born in 1602
to a John Richard Ames and Cyprian Xpian Browne and the other was born in
1682 to a John Ames and Sarah Willis. Ames was a popular name and if you
look you might find that you too are tied into the Ames shovel that help dig
the Panama Canal. Sorry I couldn't help more.
