Chad,

The name LUX is common in Alsace-Lorraine. LOUX is also present,
but less common than LUX.

I think '' Leilerwiller '' is a misspelling of Leiterswiller (Bas-Rhin,
Alsace),
about 13 km south of Wissembourg.

According to the site of the ''Atelier Généalogique de l'Arrondissement
de Wissembourg et des Environs'' (AGAWE) at
http://agawe.free.fr/
http://agawe.free.fr/depouillement/h.htm#ha
the name HAASS was present in the past in the area between
Wissembourg-Lauterbourg-Seltz and Soultz sous forêts.

The site http://site.voila.fr/census1836/UK/main.html says that the
1836 Census of the district of Wissembourg (published on CD) has
4 listings for the name Haass.

Niedereggenen (ZIP 79418) is a part of Schliengen, county of Lörrach,
Bezirk of Freiburg, Land of Baden-Württemberg (Germany)

Do you have seen the following messages from Sandra Gilley

Good luck with your search

Ewald
