I would like to hear from any descendants of the Smith family that lived in
Perry County in the 1830s. They migrated to Perry County from South Carolina.
Their names include: Mark, Sarah, Thomas, Mathew, Levi, Luke, Daniel, George,
Rosannah, Mary Ann, Dolly.

After county line changes, many of them were found in Hale County. Some
descendants went on to Mississippi and eventually to Texas.

Some collateral names include Shaffer, Terry, Sims, Tidmore, McFarland,
Richardson, Fisher, Jenkins,
