I, too, am curious about this Griffin settlement. My GG grandmother was Martha Griffin b. 1828 in AL. I do not know death date or parents names. She m. Thomas Wherry who died in 1851 and married Samuel Sanders Tubb 5 Sep 1853 in Perry Co., AL. Samuel Tubb was my GG grandfather. Does anyone know if Martha was a part of this Griffin family? Thanks in advance for anything. I am at a real brick wall with her.
