Message Board Post:
Hello,
My ancestor was Samuel Kelly of Lexington District, SC. His eldest daughter, Julia Anne Kelly(born 1824 and died 1890)married Isaiah Manuel Corley (born 1818 and died 1872), son of Jacob Corley and Anna E. Hendrix. I do have some Kelly relatives still living in the Excel, Alabama area today.
An ancestor of Samuel Kelly was a John George Kelly (Lexington District of SC) of the Kolle Family originally from Germany. Perhaps this information could help you in regards to John George Karle.
I am presently trying to locate the burial place of Samuel Kelly's father, Andrew Kelly, who was said to have died in the Bogue Chitto area, Dallas County, AL, sometime after 1835. Would you know anything about the cemetery where this ancestor might be buried?
Let me hear from you and I can give you some Kelly names in Excel, Alabama.
Thanks,
Gina Alexander
