I am writing to ask if anyone has any information about Needham
Thornton who was born about 1792, in North Carolina. I was just
told that he is the son of Needham Anderson Thornton who married Mary
Polly Haynes. They were both supposedly born in Sampson County,
N.C. They had a son named Needham Thornton, who married Sarah
Unknown. Needham and Sarah lived in Conecuh County, Al.
My ggggrandmother is Elizabeth Thornton who married William Clemmie
Sills in Sampson, N.C. They, too, moved to Alabama. I am trying to
learn the names of Elizabeth's parents. She and Clemmie named a son
James NEEDHAM Sills. There is a possibility that Elizabeth is
Needham's sister and Needham Anderson and Mary Haynes Thornton are
their parents.
I will be grateful for any info. Freda Roberson Noble
