Susie, if you think YOU were offended....you just offended most of the people
on these mail lists.
I am sorry you had a rough time finding your family in Ms. However, depending
upon where you had to research, many of our Ms mail lists are not only
friendly, but extrememly helpful.
I stand up for our mail lists, I stand up for each and everyone who felt like I
did when I read your words, "I am on many Tennessee , Mississippi and a couple
of Alabama lists and I find the AL and MS lists are not very good at sharing
Many of us have "missing links", and if we didn't, we wouldn't be on these
lists. If we had the whole story, you wouldn't get it from us because we would
have no need to share and compare. We are in the same "boat" as you, we are
looking, we are sharing when we have something, we are helping others when the
help is available. I know of not one who "witholds" information, and do take
great offense to your statement. I bet if you were researching in Noxubee
county, Ms. you couldn't say that!
I have people who "just evaporated"...I am searching for them and can not, will
not, blame some other poor soul for not "helping me find him". Maybe you would
likeit better if we did not "help" by posting, and maybe re-posting, various
links that some of us found helpful?
Currently, we are working on the index of Probate Records Book A, Noxubee
county, Ms. It will soon be posted, there are names, names, names, on this
list...and you know what? Only a few of them are mine. Too bad you don't have
anyone from our county.
