Is it possible that the Reuben C. Johnson is actually Reuben C Johnston b
1811 d 1872? He was most likely a son of Daniel Johnston and Margaret ???.
This family hailed from Laurens Co. SC...along with several families in the
Duck Springs area. It is possible that I, too, have a Johns(t)on connection
in the area of Duck Springs. My 3rd great grandmother, Mary Coats, was most
likely a Johns(t)on. It appears that she had a brother or cousin in the
area...C.P. Johns(t)on (Charles Pinckney I think)

Subject: [ALDEKALB] JOHNSON LAND GRANTS

Dear List,

I am trying to find out something about these Johnson men who got early land
grants in DeKalb County. Do they belong in your family lines?

1. Colyer Johnson, land grant Aug 1831

2. John Johnson, land grant May 1831

3. Joshua Johnson, land grant Aug 1831

4. Thomas Johnson, land grant June 1831

5. Reuben C. Johnson land grants in 1845 and 1850

6. John Johnson, land grant in Nov 1851

7. William Johnson, land grants in Aug. & Sept. 1849.

Number 3, John Johnson is my line. The Number 6 John Johnson, I believe is
a
different person. I believe the first four Johnsons were very possibly
connected. Anybody know anything about any of them??

Thanks, Judy in TX
