Hi Andrew,
I'm descended from a Peter Thompson from Fogo also, I'm guessing it's the same fellow. My line is from his second son Louis Thompson>May Thompson>Dorothy Furniss (Dorothy is my mother). I've come to a stop at Cape Verde and have a little, slightly confusing info on Peter's wife, Amelia. Through another online site I've connected with someone else who is also descended from Peter through Louis. We may eventually connect all our Aussie cousins! Look forward to hearing if we're tracing the same bloke.
