Yes, this is my family but you will see I have no history of Richard's parents.....Yes, I do know one of the spelling used for him was Adam, Adams and Addams
from him down to now I have most all of the family as a direct line. But where are Richard's parents.
I have been trying to make Isaac be his father...............as I found an genealogy article written in a Pennsylvania magazine on George Adams, and it stated he stayed in Lancaster, had a sister Anna and brother who married and went west..[[Richard moved to Ohio and was married]] but can still now really make it fit.
Would love where to look next. I keep thinking I have tried everything, but there must be something I am missing.

My Adams ancestors were from Lancaster County, PA also.? They were there much earlier though, Nicholas and Juliana Adams came from the German Palatinate in 1727 on the ship William and Sarah.? Their son John Adams, born 29 Sept. 1729, married Eve Schmidt/Smith?8 April 1751?Lancaster County, PA.? Their son John Adams, born 29 Jan. 1752 Lancaster County, PA.? They migrated to Rowan County, NC in May 1755.
Your Richard Adams may have been German also, the Adams surname was sometimes spelled "Adam", that's the German spelling for Adams.? I think that I found your Richard Adams with Anna and Elmina Adams on the 1850 Brecknock, Lancaster County, PA census.? They are listed as "Adam" on the 1850 census.
In 1860 Richard Adams, Anna, Elmina, Richard, John, Susana, and Eliza are listed?in the same town,?Brecknock, Lancaster County, PA.

can you list their children?
The more info. you can list, might be the helpful key. Plus, make sure you
change the subject line to match some of what you post here.
