Hi! I was hoping to hear from someone with connections to these families! Unfortunately I don't see the Angles listed in the book. It seems from the entry of the book that the journey through the Cumberland Gap, to St Louis and on to Ray County took place in 1837. That was the first winter they spent in Missouri.
Do you know much about Sarah Adams Angle? To be honest I have little data on my Adams' prior to 1840, but at least now that I have this publication I know who they came with and approximate time they came. Apparently the writer of the piece in the Ray County Historical Society book (Martha Yoakum Kincaid) may have done some research on these folks, but I don't have it currently. I believe several of the families originated in Claiborne County Tennessee and the surrounding vicinity. My ancestor, James Adams, was born in TN.
It sure is frustrating, isn't it!? But I felt this piece of info on the families, and the date may help somewhat. Please do let me know if you have any luck in SLC. Wish I could go with! :)
Elise, MN
