Received your reply - Dad's memory is great considering his physical condition - is in nursing home now - but, if you will send your questions, I will see if I can get some answers for you. He sold his marbleworks business to someone outside the family (business he started after his retirement from insurance) - was not able to get anyone in our family interested. He used his own "homemade" tools and tricks for lettering and restoring area monuments. Let me know if you think we might be able to help you. Our Adams line came from Hardin County, KY to IL in 1866-67.
