There were/are a lot of MELDRUM families around. Given the date, James
MELDRUM could well be one of our Kirkmichael line but it's difficult to
identify exactly who! We have no indication of a military bent in the
family although one of the later ones did trek from Tomintoul to Aberdeen
around 1820-1828.

We'll keep digging. Thanks again.
