Subject: [ABERDEEN] Question re: OPR Birth vs Baptism Kincardine O'Neil
Date: Sun, 23 May 2010 17:57:18 -0400
Hi everyone,
I have an entry from ScotlandsPeople from the OPR Birth & Baptisms for Kincardine O'Neil for Alexander Menzies. The entry looks like this -
November (abbrev.) 24, 1789
Menzies - The said William Menzies & Isobel Hogg his wife had a son born & baptized Thomas before witnesses David & James Duncan both living with William Menzies in Wester ??? (looks like Sluice or Levie)
Question - Does the "born & baptized" mean that both happened on November 24, 1789?
An entry for another sibling just above this only had the word "baptized".
Many thanks,
Suzanne
