Can I echo what Gordon said. The Mitchell Library at Charing Cross in
Glasgow is arguably the best repository of genealogical information outside
the NAS anywhere in Scotland and since so many people emigrated through the
Clyde ports, there is a chance of them being mentioned somewhere. I would
again recommend the vast number of publications by David Dobson which are a
treasure trove of information. You will find an up to date index of what is
available on the Aberdeen and NE FHS publications list which I assume is on
the website.
