That should be "Kinneff". It may be useful to know that Aberdeen and
Northeast Scotland FHS (www.anesfhs.org.uk) have just published the
transcribed Memorial Inscriptions for Kinneff and Catterline (catalogue

He can't have been born at "Hilton, Dunnottar, Kinneff & Catterline"
because "Dunnottar" is one parish, and "Kinneff & Catterline" another.
If his baptism was registered, it would have been in the one or the other.
