Joan,
There is a Member Submission on the LDS (IGI) site that gives a death for a
Peter BRANDS on 30 Aug 1895 at Cruden, Aberdeenshire. Parents are given as
Charles BRANDS and Agnes LAING. Estimated year of birth c1799.
You may have already found this! And we know we should treat the IGI as only
an index, and that such submissions can be open to interpretation!
I have some BRANDs in my tree - a couple who married in Montrose in 1770 and
had family in Montrose and Aberdeen. At least one son had family in Aberdeen
and one of his son's connects to my line of NICOLSONs in Aberdeen.
You are welcome to contact me off-list if you think that our BRAND families
might connect.
Pat
