Sorry really don't understand what you mean by "lumped together"? The census returns from 1851-1901 that are available for all of Scotland as scanned images at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk which has lists of everyone present on census night listed with the head of the household first followed by everyone else in that household and including all the same details for every single member of the household ie: name, age, occupation etc. No "lumping together" at all. The only thing thats different between a head of household and the rest is that the relationship column is relative to the head of household.

The problem with the 1851 census is it lists only the head of the house by name, and everyone else is lumped together.
