There are two ways to "search the Census".

(1) If you know which parish they were in, then you can read slowly
through the entire microfilm for that parish. In the case of a small
rural parish, this might only take a couple of hours.
(2) You can log on to Scotlandspeople and use the index.

It strikes me that a lookup based on (1) is a bit much to ask anyone to
do just as a favour. And as (2) costs a minimum of 6GBP for 30
"credits", you might think that is something you ought to pay for yourself.
