No, as yet I haven't been able to connect this Robert DANIEL as a
relative of ours. However, I suspect there is a connection as our
DANIELs are also from Cruden parish. See the attached file for what
information I presently have about Robert DANIEL & descendants.

Just back from several weeks vacation & found your email among the many
awaiting my attention.

The earliest I have in the WILSON line is: James WILSON (b. Abt 1805)
who married Janet COUTTS about 1827 in Aberdeen. This information
gleaned from records submitted to the IGI by an LDS Church member.
James & Janet are the parents of Thomas WILSON (b. 15 Oct 1837 Old
Machar parish, Aberdeenshire) who was the grandfather of James Smith
WILSON (1891 - 1939).

I was intrigued by the reference to the Barbara LEDGERTWOOD, 2nd wife of
Alexander WILSON. However, this is not the same Barbara LEDGERTWOOD
(1805 - ??) who married Robert DANIEL 7 Jan 1827 Cruden parish.
However, I wonder if they are related?

Hi I am new to the web site, I am a member of Wigtown and the one for
Stirling.
The Family I am researching just now is
Alexander Wilson b abt 1791 he d. April 1858 Mill of
Clackriach,Old Deer his first wife was Jane Thomson she died they had 7
children they were all born at Fyvie,Aberdeenshire his 2. wife was
Barbara Ledgertwood they had 8 children they were all born at Mill of
Clackriach,Old Deer which seemed to be the family home through the
generations. I was wondering if any one was researching this family if
you are I would like to hear from you.
