Just returned from a weekend off-line and discovered lots of new posts from
the list. Here are my Aberdeen connections:

BODIE or BODDIE - births/christenings in Old Machar, Oyne, Monymusk,
Inverurie, Chapel of Garioch, Marnoch, Auchterless from 1770-1900; with
marriages to other surnames - LAW, SMITH, RENNIE, WALKER, MACKIE, COCKER,
MURRAY, MURPHY, DOW, WATT, MANN, BLACK, NIVEN, THOM, CARNEGIE and a whole
pile of others when you get to subsequent generations. If this just raises
your curiosity a little, check my online tree at RootsWeb (see below).

MUTCH - Alexander, b.1720, Old Machar, m. 1754 in New Machar to Jean ELRICK.
His son Alexander (1759-1828) went to N. America with the Black Watch and
has thousands of descendants centred from Prince Edward Island (PEI),
Canada.
