When I had a similar query, SKS looked up the name for me in the medal rolls
and determined that the person in question had served in Crimea because he
was entitled to certain clasps. At least I now know he was there... even if
I've had no more luck in finding him since! Perhaps someone with access to
the medal rolls could get you started in your search?

Hello Everyone

I was wondering if any one would know where to find enlistment records for
men
who joined the Crimean war 1850/54 period.

I am trying to Find my Great great grandfather George Jaffray who spent
9months
in the crimean war but cannot find any records of him being inlisted.

He was born around 1835/37 in Aberdeen Scotland.

I would appreciate a prompt reply please.

Regards

Grahame James
