Dear Listers,

I am looking for information regarding the surnames of Ross and Rose. I know they were two different clans but has anyone found these names to be interchangeable at times?

In the parish records of Birse there are a number of these surnames and I am wondering if anyone has found Ross confused for Rose?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
