Hello Everyone
Does anyone know if this organization is still in existence? Are any of
their publications available? At one time, I was able to obtain copies of
their publications through MONICA ANTON, one of the premier genealogical
researches in the Northeast. Unfortunately, she passed away several years
ago.
The group (in 1930) published 'AN ABERDEENSHIRE FARMER'S DIARY' by JOHN
ALLARDISE (1753-1815), a farmer in Lower Plaidy, Turriff. Is is still
available?
The diary ended in 1815 with John's death but a neighbour, JOHN PIRRIE, from
Boghead of Laithers continued the diary for another ten years. Was this
portion of the diary ever printed or is the manuscript now stored somewhere?
Any assistance to my queries will be greatly appreciated.
