Sheena,

I have just started to think about doing my family tree and all I have
to start with at the moment is my dad's name William Cruickshank, born
24 March 1935, Aberdeen Scotland. I know his Dad's name was George and
my dad has two sisters Jean and Betty and one brother Donald.

I'm not sure if your records would have anything this recent or if I'm
on the right track, but if you do have anything relevant it would be
much appreciated.

As you can probably guess I'm a real novice at this family tree business
but I'd thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

Thank you Carol,

I have been lucky to have a copy from
a Cruickshank family bible
that gives the following;
Dr James Cruickshank 1755-1838 married Jean Andrew
29th May 1791 Marnoch Banff
their children
Dr James 1792-1877 m Agnes Cruickshank
Dr William 1805 m 1841 Jane Marlow issue 3
Robert 1796-1830
m2ndly 1853 Elizabeth Campbell issue 2
Alexander 1809 went to New Zealand
Christina 1794 m 1821 James Conn issue 7
Jean/Jane 1802 m William Cruickshank issue 6
Isobel 1802 m 1836 Alexander Davidson issue 1
Agnes 1800 unmarried
with all those issues
I hope some one might connect
also Cruickshank marring Cruickshank
I have the line from James Cruickshank RN
he was a ship's surgeon at the battle of Waterloo
then he retired to Wardend Forgue
where he had nine daughters and twin sons.
