Dave Rannie has pointed out to me that Mill of Fortree is indeed some
miles north of Ellon, at 955405 on Sheet 30 of the Landranger series.
Nearby there are also Fortrie, Mains of Fortrie, and Backhill of
Fortrie.
I can't work out where the parish boundary lies in this vicinity, so
I don't know whether it is in Ellon or Old Deer.
Regards,
Don
